Edo State University Recruitment General Requirements
PROFESSOR
Candidate must have a Ph.D degree certification in the appropriate discipline applied for or a Fellowship of the National or West African College.
Candidate must have a minimum of ten (10) years of university teaching and research experience, and also a minimum of two (2) years experience as an Associate Professor.
Scholarly publications in local and international journals as proof of specialization in core areas of departmental fields of study are a must to be eligible for this role.
Sufficient administrative experience is also required.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Candidate must have the above-stated requirements for Professor, except that a minimum of eight (8) years of university teaching and research experience with two (2) years as a Senior Lecturer is for this position.
Sufficient administrative experience is also required.
SENIOR LECTURER
Candidate must have the stated requirements for Professor, except that a minimum of five (5) years of university teaching and research experience with two (2) years as a Lecturer I is for this position.
Sufficient administrative experience is also required.
LECTURER I
Candidate must have the stated requirements for Professor, except that a minimum of three (3) years of university teaching and research experience with two (2) years as a Lecturer II is for this role.
LECTURER II
Candidate must have the stated requirements for Professor, except that a minimum of three (3) years of university teaching and research experience with two (2) years as an Assistant Lecturer is for this role.
Computer literacy and the ability to apply Multimedia technology in teaching is mandatory.

This would be based on the Nigerian Public Universities scale.
